Front yard baseball
I don't have any pictures for this one, but both West's and my cameras had dead batteries, and I was too busy playing to take pictures anyway. What do you do on a slightly chilly Sunday when you have six kids who have been cramped inside all weekend due to rain? You kick them outside and teach them how to play baseball. I pitched, West played the entire field, and the kids took turns batting and running bases. We taught them all the fine rules of foul balls, stealing bases, and tagging the runner or bases to be out. We also had to teach them the rule of only one person on a base at a time and no running when the pitcher has the ball. The kids started figuring it out after a while and eventually West had a hard time catching one off base. And they're swinging and hitting skills picked up nicely, even left handed Cas. This has to have been one of my better weekends. Just getting out and playing baseball with the kids in the front yard, so simple yet we all loved it. Next summer we're teaching them volleyball! How fun that we have kids old enough (and enough of them!) to get out and play a game with.

You are super Mom. I mean that. Kudos!
How fun! And although I enjoy every second with my kids at the age they are, I can't wait till I get to experience that are with them too!
I'm down... Lets plan it!
