My dad had a budget meeting for his retired gated community, but my mom took us up behind Tuacahn were we started up a dry river bed.
My mom's hiding behind the girls for some strange reason. A small trail veered off the river bed so we decided to make the hike a real adventure and see what we could find. We eventually saw a sign that said we were in Padre Canyon.
Apparently the girls are part billy goat, because they insisted on climbing to the top of every boulder of decent size we came across.
At one point we saw a cave up on the mountain, so we left grandma on the trail (some adventures just aren't very nice to grandmas, and she was quite content to watch from below) and started climbing.

My little poser girl
A zoomed in pic of grandma below...
And a normal pic of grandma below... you have to know where to look to see her! You can see her just past the big boulders in the middle of the picture, WAY down there. The girls were amazing, even Cali, and we made it to the cave and explored a little before heading back down to grandma.

After the hike we met grandpa at a 50's diner for hamburgers and then headed to the swimming pool.
Cali couldn't get enough of the water slide.

Since we were all swimming we didn't really get very many pictures, but my dad get a few after he got out. Tell you what, after that day we were all dead on our feet and sleep never felt so good.
