The end is finally in sight. I think this vacation was perfect. We were ready to go home, but not overly anxious for it. We felt satisfied with what we saw and with what we did. We packed up our bags, and tried to figure out how to kill the morning before returning the car and heading back to LAX. We saw signs for the Queen Mary, which triggered memory in both West and me that we'd heard that name somewhere so we decided to check it out.

We were feeling pretty lazy so we didn't really look around extra hard, but where we were there were two things. A submarine tour (that was like $20 EACH person, no thanks, you are insane), and a haunted tour of the inside of the ship, in the underbelly, "not for the young, old, or weak of heart". Hmmmm... I think that counts us out. Like I said, we were feeling lazy and very under zealous, so we didn't even try to see if there was anything family friendly to check out after that. We found a park instead.

Note my five-year-old man. Seriously. I joke with him often by saying, "my five-year-old man, and his six-year-old son". I love him, what can I say (but watch out, he pushes girls :))? I think it's amazing that he'll get into the throws of playing with the kids with me.

Lunch at McDonald's. I should have known that it would come at some point, but I'm pretty impressed that I made it to day eight before I had to eat at McDonald's. Brynn topped off the trip by losing a tooth. (Which of course left the tooth fairy scrambling that night for a dollar bill, since Brynn doesn't exactly accept debit cards. Jr. saved the day, or night rather).

More looks at the airport. Some people laughed, some people could have kept their looks to themselves, we don't care if you don't approve. I myself, found our group highly entertaining as we walked through the airport with all our bags.

The kids ALL slept on the flight home, and arrived in Salt Lake in fashion with Mickey Mouse ears on their heads. Of course we'd just left a week of sunshine to come home to pouring rain. Go figure.
