Apricots on the front porch

I can say it a million times over, I love my neighborhood. The pure love and service that circles around these streets is amazing. When we first moved in at Christmas the treats landed on our doorstep from, then, unknown families. Jams, breads, and more treats than we could eat. And it didn't stop after Christmas. It's continued on to now in the summer time with baskets of fruit and vegetables, and even plant starts for my own garden (which is greatly lacking! But Mike and Coralee are determined to build it up with starts from their own).
Let it be said that I couldn't think of a more perfect way to spend a summer evening than on the front porch with Carolyn eating apricots. I only hope I can give to these wonderful neighbors as much as they're giving to us.
