Christmas eve eve

It wasn't my, or West's, year for Christmas this year. So we were a day ahead of the rest of the world, celebrating Christmas eve eve, and having Christmas a day early (on Christmas eve morning, before we had to take our kids to our respective ex's). It was our first year doing it together, since last year I was determined to spend Christmas eve in my brand new house with my girls. Christmas with the full circus was a success. And a huge mess :).

On Christmas eve eve the kids drew names and I (poor West was down with a stomach bug, but was luckily better enough by morning) took them to the dollar store to buy a couple of gifts for each other. That's going to become a tradition, it was fun watching them shop and think about each other, and the excitement as the wrapped and gave the gifts was bonding.
Cas made the cutest snowman for me out of a sock: Believe it or not, this mess was even AFTER we cleaned up all the wrapping paper. It really was a modest Christmas but when you times that by six, you still get a decent sized mess:
