Yuba Lake

Well... Memorial Weekend was supposed to be spent in Idaho visiting a set of parentals but... sick kids swayed us from making the long drive up there. Of course, as luck would have it, they seemed fine the next day so we decided to salvage the weekend and join West's dad and friends at Yuba Lake. It was super cold, and the ride on the boat left us with frozen noses and icey toes, but we got some pretty fun hiking in and then came home and got some much needed yard work done. My camera died on the trip so we didn't get any pics on the "good" hike, but here is what we got on the boat ride:
The kids in the campground befriended our circus and they all went out hunting lizards:
And during a game of freeze tag with all the kids in the campground Cas biffed it and landed in a patch of thorns. Those dang things were everywhere, poor girl:
