So we have big plans to redo pretty much the entire house. The navy blue carpet in the dining room and office needs to go, as well as the bright plain white tile in the kitchen. Oh, kitchen? Don't get us started. Hello PINK counter tops (ha yeah, that was fun the first time I came to West's bachelor pad and he had pink in his kitchen). We need more closet space (I'm not apologizing for having too many clothes, but I am apologizing for taking up all the room ha) and the basement needs carpet and furniture. We need kitchen chairs and new carpet in the TV room, which has furniture that's way too big for the room... you get the picture, we have some HUGE projects that require removing walls and building new ones and some face lift projects like new furniture and carpet. We thought we would start somewhere on the main floor... dining room, TV room, kitchen... but... our house had different plans.
Here's some "before" pics of our upstairs bedroom:

So why exactly would this become our point of focus? Well... it's what I like to call our kitchen waterfall. Not just a trickle or a drip or even what I would classify as a leak, but an honest to goodness waterfall gushing from somewhere in the bathroom and coming out of the ceiling into our kitchen:

West couldn't track down the problem. We fixed it once but apparently that wasn't it... well, if we can't be sure maybe we should rip the whole bathroom out? If we do this we really have to commit to it... and five minutes later there we were all crammed in the bathroom with hammers.

I've decided home owning is not what it's cracked up to be. Every time we turn around there is something that needs fixing or replacing or repainting or whatever. But I feel for you. That looks like a whole lotta remodeling. Not fun.
We know all about those projects that balloon once you get started. Good luck!!!
