Heelys... who knew?

OK, I have to admit, when it's come to Heelys I've been very slow on the uptake. My kids have begged. My kids have asked on every birthday and holiday, and yet, I've resisted. Until now. Check these out, pretty good looking shoes, don't you think?

I like to call my kids "grace" for obvious sarcastic and humorous reasons. I'm pretty sure they have a stash of clutzy pills somewhere. In one foul swoop my daughter, Cas, knocked a picture of the hall wall, braking its frame, cleared the countertop of all of it's contents onto the floor, knocked over a barstool, and tripped stumbled through the kitchen. I just stood there staring at her, dumbfounded. Heelys? I don't think our insurance would approve such a purchase. But did you know Heelys has a website with "how to skate" information, not only for beginners at walking, oh, I mean skating, like my kids, but also with different tricks for the not so beginner. You can check it out here: http://www.heelys.com/SitePages/FootwearTricktionary.aspx

It also has an agreement for safe skating. I think the circus needs to be reading that. We're currently training our new puppy boys to pull Brynn on her Heelys. I'll have a video of that with in the week because it's pretty funny. "Grace" on wheels with uncontroled speed. That's a recipe for awesome if I ever did hear of one.

One thing that I have loved about Brynn have her pair of Heelys *finally*, would be the fact that her balance and coordination have certainly improved with practice. Perhaps Cas will be next on my list for a pair of Heelys. It might one day save her life.

Hey Brynn, how do you like your Heelys? This is the part where I have to tell you that I did receive a free pair of Heelys from Heelys in return for some words about them on my blog, but my words and opinion here are strictly my own and true.
