Because that's what you hurry and do when someone comes over
For those who have known me for a long time, you know of my program "FlyLady". I took a class while living in Washington called "Apples of Gold", a class based on a book called "Sidetracked House Executives: From Pigsty to Paradise". I fell in love with the concept. One of my favorite people in the world, Joey Hodges, introduced me to FlyLady about the same time. Fly lady is basing her program off of the same book. The funny thing I'm finding here, is I haven't actually read the original book, but I've taken a class on it, follow a website for it, and have even taught a class or two (in Vernal) on it (actually how to use FlyLady). It's how to schedule and set up routines for cleaning and organizing, so your home is company ready all the time, with no chaos and frustrations on your part. I heart FlyLady. She saved my "life". I fell off my FlyLady routines though, after the divorce. I've been struggling and my house has been a mess and I've been living in in chaos. Suddenly, it hit me (Helloooo!) why am I not "flying"?! So this week I put my cards together and got to it. I run it differently this go round. That's bound to happen when you place a stay at home mom's schedule next to a single working mom's schedule, you're bound to find time differences. Go figure. Yesterday morning I was doing a quick mop (because half a job is better than no job done) in the kitchen when Brynn walks in, and in complete confusion asks, "is someone coming over?"

I love Brynn's comment. So funny! It's true, we live in a mess and the second we know someone is coming...
I love flylady. She got me back on my feet and I still keep some of her maxims in my mind and they keep me going. "you can do anything for 15 minutes." Good post. I need to start flying again.
